About this Program

The Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP) is a joint initiative between Japan and ten Southeast Asian countries, aiming to promote friendship, understanding, and international cooperation among youths. The program also aims to cultivate leaders capable of contributing to globalizing society and youth development. Participants will be able to share their lives onboard the ship, introduce each other to their countries, and participate in discussions and exchange activities. The program is limited since it’s only selecting 15 Cambodian individuals.

Eligibility

  • Candidates from Cambodia can apply.
  • Candidates must be youth aged 18-30 of a specific day in 2015 designated by each country.
  • Candidates who are able to participate in the Program should apply.
  • Candidates must be those who have a good command of English to participate in the activities both onboard the ship and in the countries to be visited.
  • Candidates who were cooperative and adaptable to an orderly group life in accordance with the Program schedule.
  • Candidates who had an interest and good understanding in the participating countries.
  • Candidates who are in good health both physically and mentally.

  • Discussion Program and Post-Program Session
  • Solidarity Group Activity
  • Club Activities
  • National Presentation
  • Voluntary Activities
  • Activities of Port of Call Country in each country such as courtesy calls, institutional visits, interaction with local youth and 1- or 2-night homestay.
  • Gathering of Alumni Association on Board.

For selected individuals:

The candidate would get access to all the following for the duration of the trip:

Program Duration

The program will begin from 4th November to the 11th of December 2024 being a full 38-day trip.
