About this Program
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation of Thailand has offered a Thailand Scholarship (year 2024) for international students to pursue master degrees at the Thai higher education institution, Ubon Ratchathani University, for 2 academic years in English.
Eligibility
- Eligible region/country: All countries
- The applicant must have received a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, or a graduate diploma from an accredited educational institution in Thailand or overseas.
- The applicant must have a cumulative grade point average from a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent of at least 3.00.
- The applicant must have good health without illness, symptoms, or disabilities which may prove to be an obstacle to study
- Other requirements for eligibility shall be at the discretion of the UBU Scholarship Committee

Supporting Documents
- Application Form
- One 35 x 45 mm, full-face photograph taken within the last six months.
- *A copy of the graduate certificate/diploma for a Bachelor’s degree.
- *A copy of an official transcript from a Bachelor’s degree
- A copy of a certificate of standardized Thai and/or English language proficiency test (if any), issued within the last 2 years (optional)
- A letter of recommendation from a previous institution (if possible)
- A certificate of experience (if possible) * in English, or its foreign equivalent, signed.
Scholarship Conditions
- To maintain eligibility for the scholarship, holder must achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPAX) of 3.00 each semester within the hierarchical assessment of subjects used for GPA calculation. Additionally, for courses both with and without credits and score values contributing to the GPA and GPAX, scholarship recipients are required to receive an 'S' assessment result to qualify for the scholarship in the following semester. In the case of a GPAX lower than 3.00 but not less than 2.80, the scholarship holder is still eligible for the scholarship the following semester, however, if the scholarship holder receives a GPAX lower than 3.00 again in the subsequent semester, the scholarship will be rescinded. If the scholarship holder receives a GPAX of at least 3.00 the following semester, the scholarship holder will be considered to have met the scholarship requirements.
- Grades for each subject in each semester must be completed. If the scholarship holder receives an “I” (“incomplete”), the scholarship holder will not be considered eligible the following semester except for instances considered by the scholarship committee on a case-by-case basis.
- The scholarship holder must be enrolled for at least 70 percent of the study schedule for each semester except for instances considered by the scholarship committee on a case-by-case basis.

How to Apply
Applicants must submit their applications directly to the host university during the application period for each program. The applicants may be required to visit the official website to complete the application form, which may be downloaded from the Ubon Ratchathani University website. The selection process will be made by the host institution’ committee.

Application Deadline is from 1st - 31st March 2024 for first round and from 1st- 31st July 2024 for second round.
