About the program
British Council 90th Anniversary Research Fellowships are offered in collaboration with University of Edinburgh. The purpose of this funded program is to facilitate research that aligns with British Council’s vision “a more peaceful and prosperous world built on trust”. The British Council fellowship program in UK will provide a supportive environment for postdoctoral fellows. They will get networking opportunities with renowned and qualified scholars. Fellows will get a chance to socialize and exchange ideas during their stay at Edinburgh.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants should be residing in an ODA-recipient country where British Council is operational
- Applicants must have completed their PhD within the last 7 years
- The Research topics should be related to Arts, Education, English language, international relations, international development, peace building, cultural relations and cultural diplomacy
- Candidates can select a specific research topic within these broader themes according to their interests and expertise
- Candidates should not have a permanent designation at a university
- Applicants must not have availed a previous Fellowship at IASH
- Fellows should give at least one seminar presentation during the program
- At the end, fellows are required to submit a report on their research
