About Scholarship Program

The 2021 Mahidol Postgraduate Scholarships has been initiated to offer international students for scholarships which cover tuition fees and other expenses while studying in the graduate programs of Mahidol University. This scholarship program aims to increase the number of scholars and researchers in various disciplines as well as will create the relations and ties between Mahidol University and grantees’ countries of origin.

Eligibility

• Be the applicant applying for the program listed in eligible scholarship program.

Requirement

For master’s program applicants full scholarship:

1. Obtained a Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA of at least 3.25 out of 4.00
2. Must not receive a scholarship or sponsored from any other scholarship provider/Government/Statutory Bodies or any other organization
3. A minimum English proficiency requirement of either IELTS 6.5, TOEFL – iBT 93 or MU Grad test with Speaking – 95 (The English proficiency score validity is counted within 2 years at the date of application submission)
4. Having a publication as a research article in a journal indexed in the database accepted by Mahidol University is an added advantage
5. Must not exceed 40 years of age at the time of application
6. Must submit an essay stating why the applicant is entitled to receive the scholarship (not more than 1,000 words)
7. Exemption from above criteria may be considered on case by case by the scholarship committee, Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University. 

For doctoral program applicants for full scholarship:

1. Obtained a Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree with CGPA of at least 3.50 out of 4.00
2. Must not receive a scholarship or sponsored from any other scholarship provider/Government/Statutory Bodies or any other organization
3. A minimum English proficiency requirement of either IELTS 6.5, TOEFL – iBT 93 or MU Grad test with Speaking – 95 (The English proficiency score validity is counted within 2 years at the date of application submission.)
4. Must have at least one publication as a research article in a journal indexed in the database accepted by Mahidol University
5. Must not exceed 45 years of age at the time of application
6. Must submit an essay stating why the applicant isentitled to receive the scholarship (not more than 1,000 words)
7. Exemption from above criteria may be considered on case by case by the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University

Scholarship Benefits

There will be 2 categories of scholarships to be provided to the students, type 1 (full scholarship) and type 2 (partial scholarship).

Full scholarship (Scholarship type 1) covers on

• 100% of tuition fee
• 100% of all the study program fee
• Living allowance (10,000baht/Month)

Partial Scholarship (Scholarship type 2) covers on

Type 2.1

• 100% of tuition fee
• 100% of all the study program fee

Type 2.2

• 50% of tuition fee
• 50% of all the study program fee

Type 2.3

• 100% of the study program fee (Research supply fee, Special Equipment Fee/Work-Site Study Fee/Work-Site Training Fee)
• 50% of the study program fee (Education and related services fees, and subsidize of program study fee for the student)

How to Apply

The scholarship can be applied through the program and the program will nominate the applicants name to the Faculty of Graduate Studies for final consideration.

The selection committee of Faculty of Graduate Studies will review and determine successful candidates based on the ranking for the best merit of the students and according to the number of grants provided. The decisions from the Committee are irrevocable, and no further appeal shall be made.
