About this Program
The China Scholarship Council - University of Melbourne PhD Scholarship is provided by the China Scholarship Council and the University of Melbourne and offered to students who are citizens of the People's Republic of China and enrolling in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at the University of Melbourne.
Eligibility
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
- be a citizen of the People's Republic of China
- have received an offer for a place in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) course at the University of Melbourne. This requires completion of at least a four-year undergraduate degree, with the equivalent of a minimum overall average grade of H2A (or 75%) achieved at the University of Melbourne with a significant research component. Applicants are also required to meet minimum English language requirements.

Required Documents
At minimum, you will need to provide academic transcripts and a CV with your application. If you're currently studying, you'll also need to provide a transcript of your final results and evidence of completion as soon as they’re available.
Depending on the course, you may also have to provide a research proposal, folio of creative works, GRE or GMAT test result or writing sample.
If you don’t have verified digital copies of academic documents for prior or current studies and wish to obtain during your application, you can select Digitary VIA when requested during your submission.
