Overview

The Matsumae International Foundation (MIF) Fellowship 2027 is a fully funded research fellowship in Japan for international researchers. The program aims to promote international understanding and scientific cooperation by allowing scholars to conduct research at Japanese universities and research institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

Be a non-Japanese citizen.
Hold a Ph.D. degree.
Be 49 years old or younger.
Obtain an invitation letter from a Japanese host institution.
Demonstrate proficiency in English or Japanese.
Have no previous long-term living or working experience in Japan.
Be employed in their home country and agree to return after the fellowship.
Intend to pursue research primarily in:
- Natural Sciences
- Engineering
- Medicine

Benefits

For selected student:
