About the program

The Princeton Society of Fellows in the Liberal Arts seeks to support innovative interdisciplinary approaches to scholarship and teaching in the humanities and humanities-related social sciences.

Eligibility criteria

• PhD awarded after January 1, 2024, or near completion
• All PhD requirements must be completed by June
• One‑time application only
• Selection based on outstanding scholarship, teaching promise, and interdisciplinary potential 
• Ineligible: degrees in Education or Jurisprudence, or PhD graduates from Princeton

Required documents

• Cover letter
• Curriculum vitae (CV)
• Dissertation abstract
• Research proposal
• Writing sample
• Two course proposals
• Proof of PhD progress or completion
